Dog Booties

We generally try to stay in the grass when we take walks, but there are some parts of our walk where my dog needs to walk on the pavement. I worry about her little paws getting too hot on the pavement because it's been in the upper 90s so often this summer.

I was thinking about investing in some dog booties. Has anyone used these to protect their dog's feet? Did your dog adjust to them okay?

With me I always approach every tool or clothing slowly and desensitize a dog anything I am about to put on them like booties. I find slow is better because a dog can sensitize if we rush and have the opposite effect. They may not ever like the site of a boot for example.

I also test the pavement on a hot day with the palm of my hand. If it's to hot for me to keep my hand there it is definitely to hot for paws.

Hope this helps.
