Do you have dog insurance?

Do you have or have you ever had dog insurance? Did you find that it came in handy? I'm still on a semi-quest for a small dog, and one of the things that I was thinking about when owning a dog this time around is whether or not to have insurance. Is it worth it?
 
Definitely an interesting topic and for me personally I never had insurance on my dogs. My limited research and from what I heard from clients is that everything can never be covered or fully covered.

I’ll send a message to DR team and see if we can get a research article on this topic. Hopefully others have some input also.

An article on this would be helpful. There's a lot of information out there to draw from so having some of it condensed and put into one place would be great.
Of all the dogs I've owned so far, I've never had insurance either and only recently discovered there is such a thing. My initial thoughts are that it would definitely be worth it to have insurance just-in-case. As you said though, from what you've heard everything can never be fully covered so I'm feeling like in order to invest in pet insurance, it has to be worth it. Definitely has to be purchased from a very reputable company that also has glowing reviews.

TY for the article suggestion we will definitely move this to the top of our list. We do agree that this can be a confusing topic for many dog owners.
