Hello, how great to find a forum dedicated to dog training and behavior. I have had five dogs in my life, each one a rescue dog and each one went to a dog behavior class with me. I learned a lot about canine psychology and training, although I remain an interested amateur with no formal qualifications. For me, attending these classes not only produced dogs who were a pleasure to take anywhere but helped the bonding process between myself and each dog in turn.
Keats was my first dog, she was about 18 months old when I adopted her and so had passed the very early socialization phrases. I think that her early weeks and months were not happy emotionally although she had been well cared for physically. She's long gone, but not forgotten.
