Which Gender Is Easier To Train?

I'm having double thoughts where to place this topic. I was typing on the Dog Training area but the topic is not actually about training dogs. Based on your experience, which gender is easier to train? With my experience, I found it interesting that female dogs are easier to train than male dogs. Does gender affect how much they can be trained?

Don’t worry if anyone post in the wrong area we can always move the whole thread if needed.

My first thought after reading your question was motivation. I would say a motivated dog will be the easiest to teach. I never personally collected data on males or females learning quicker or faster. For me it was always motivation. Definitely anxiety and fear will play a huge roll on how a dog learns.

Many will have opinions on breeds that learn faster and all of what I mentioned above still has a big influence on learning even if we talk about breeds.

I am not sure if there is a scientific data on this topic but I will search and ask around.

You may be right as my experience with our dogs can be a different situation with other dog owners. I agree with you regarding breeds because even mutts can be trained well if the owner have patience and skill to train the mutt.

I sense something of a comparison of dog genders to human genders. Male humans tend to be physically stronger than female humans, but the ladies seem to be easier to control than boys.

However, gender classification with dogs is different with humans. Female dogs are much more aggressive than male dogs, especially when the female dog has a litter to take care of. The experience of being protective might affect the future character of that dog and could be harder to train than dogs that haven't experienced being a mother.
